Topic of the week: Covid-19 Brain Fog

Covid-19 brain fog can be improved with holistic help, along with what you are doing with your medical team if you are choosing medical care for it.

In my experience with clients with Covid-19 brain fog is that I often combine specialized craniosacral brain work (this is more advanced than working on the cranial bones and involves working with the parts of the brain, as shown in the diagram above) and acupressure that I learned in a specialized acupressure brain class.

I often start them out with craniosacral therapy.  If there is still time left during their session, I show them acupressure points and how to apply them.

This can be done in person or over video chat.  Many of my local regulars prefer doing this over video chat.  The reasons they stated is that they feel that distance energy work is more powerful and effective and by showing them how to do the points on themselves instead of doing it for them on a massage table, they find it more empowering.  Also, it saves them a trip to the office and makes it easier for them to squeeze into their schedule if they don't have to worry about a commute.

When I studied how covid-19 works on a cellular level, I learned that brain fog and loss of sense and smell are the result of covid-19 crossing into the blood brain barrier.  I also learned in my craniosacral brain speaks class that the earlier issues are addressed, often the more effective this can be.

The feedback I have received from clients is that their head feels more clear and they have more energy and focus.  Their will to want to get up and do stuff has also improved.  Some of them have reported going from doing nothing but being able to watch TV to being able to read books again.

Everyone's experience with holistic work is different and results cannot be guaranteed, but if it were me, I would be willing to try anything.

What you can do for yourself, is self acupressure.  This book was written by my acupressure teacher.  It is my favorite acupressure book because he explains the points and exactly how to locate them in layman's terms.  There is a section for the brain.  Here is a link to the book.  This is an Amazon affiliated link, which means that I receive commission on qualifying purchases.  This is a clickable link:  Acupressure's Potent Points: A Guide to Self-Care for Common Ailments
